    Origins and organization

ŻZW developed separately from ŻOB and maintained its own structure and external contacts, but its membership and hierarchy cannot be reconstructed as completely.

    Weapons and outside contacts

The organization obtained firearms and maintained contacts outside the ghetto; exact claims should be tied to specific evidence.

    Muranowski Square

Its strongest documented wartime presence was around Muranowska Street and Muranowski Square during the April 1943 uprising.

    Relationship with ŻOB

ŻOB and ŻZW remained separate but fought the same German liquidation operation. The story should not be reduced to political rivalry.

    Why the evidence is difficult

Few ŻZW leaders survived, contemporary documentation is thin and some later claimants embellished or fabricated roles.

    What can be said securely

ŻZW existed, fought independently, was concentrated around Muranowski Square and included documented leaders such as Frenkel and Rodal.
